The Sidkik Pledge: Purpose Driven At Our Core

Sure, we've been known to crack a joke or two around the proverbial water cooler (who can resist a good pun? - heck, we don't even have a water cooler, it's an espresso machine ☕), but when it comes to making a difference, we at Sidkik are all business. Really! Our punchlines might be light, but our commitment to social impact is heavy - and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Now, we know what you’re thinking: “This is the millionth time I’ve heard a company pledge to ‘make a difference.’" And we get it. You're tired of all talk and no trousers. But here's the thing - we're not just talking about making a difference. We're doing it because it’s who we are [more on that in a minute]! And we have the pastel-colored post-it notes from our brainstorming sessions to prove it.

We’ve set ourselves a target – a big, audacious one. We’re not just aiming to improve the lives of a few people. No, we’re aiming to make a splash! A big, socially impactful splash. We’re committed to mentoring 1000 creators to become successful entrepreneurs. That's right, 1000! And if you think that's a typo, think again!

Just imagine what those 1000 entrepreneurs could do. Each one of them will have the potential to impact the lives of many others. It’s like a domino effect of goodness, a ripple in a pond, except the pond is the world and the ripple... well, you get the picture.

And this is where I get the chills. If we help 1000 entrepreneurs have successful businesses and they go on to inspire and mentor others, it’s not just the 1000 lives we’ll be affecting. It could be a million people living better lives because of the expert knowledge they’ve ALL learned! 

That’s where I feel like we start to make a real difference.

After years of helping large corporations build and launch really big products, and put yet more money in their pockets, it’s really exciting to help creators - the people with big ideas and unique ways of seeing things - bring their ideas to life. So they can enjoy the success they’ve dreamed of, and then go on to share that joy with others.

I have a secret to share with you. Ready to lean in for a few?

For years, I became a mentor for entrepreneurs through a non-profit in Boulder / Denver. Every year I helped startups and young entrepreneurs during workshops. We’d do Q&A and I’d get assigned a few businesses to work one-on-one with. 

And the secret I have to share is that this was absolutely some of the most rewarding work I’ve ever done. Yes, in my entire career. Far more rewarding than helping any big business hit major milestones. Heck, I couldn’t even call it work! I honestly feel like I got as much out of it - maybe more - as they did. 🙏

Seeing the look of excitement and joy when a business owner or entrepreneur sees their own success is an incredible feeling, one that can never be matched. 

So when we decided to create Sidkik I knew mentorship needed to be in our cards. For me, there’s nothing more powerful than​​ being part of helping small businesses and entrepreneurs to grow their dreams.

I also know a very important thing. I personally need more of that entrepreneurial excitement… jumping on calls, chatting about what to do next, even talking over a home-cooked dinner. That energy is a part of my own personal Why. It’s how I become purpose-driven.

I feel humbled and thankful every day to be part of this amazing movement. It’s inspiring and infectious! We can have a much bigger impact than we ever imagined if we all work together towards the same goal – impacting others lives with all of the expert knowledge that each and every one of us has.

We’re passionate about connecting the dots for all of our expert Sidkik Creators, and making sure that they get the support they need to be successful entrepreneurs; access to business, technology, and operations expertise; mentorship for building & growing; training and other resources. 

We’ve built our all-in-one creator platform to deliver the best possible support for at least 1000 entrepreneurs. We’ll ensure that everyone has access to the services and tools they need, so that they can focus on being a creator while they have mentorship to build & grow their businesses into something amazing.

Yeah, sure, there are lots of other course creator platforms out there. But we find again and again that they don’t have creators’ businesses in mind. They’ve got a different focus, to say the least. For us, this isn’t so much about making money (well, we’re a business, so of course we have revenue in mind - but it’s more than that), it’s about people becoming empowered to learn and grow through their own work. We want to give our Sidkik Creators the power to take risks, build something amazing together, and know that they have our support every step of the way.

Our platform is designed for entrepreneurs to be far more than “one course and done”, which is what we see on other platforms when creators aren’t given the needed mentorship in business building. That’s why our focus is on creators’ businesses from day-one.

For us, this isn’t just a mission—it’s a promise. A promise to use our business as a force for good. So let me wane philosophically for a moment: if we're not making an impact, then what's the point? We might as well be selling sand at the beach or snow in the Arctic.

We also know that we can’t do this alone. We’re inviting you, our amazing network, to join us. Whether you’re a creator, an entrepreneur, or just someone who believes in the power of business to make a difference, we need you.
